The new definition of Korean chorus presented by the National Orchestra of Korea
The new chorus project of National Orchestra of Korea in 10 years after Uboosasisa, the cantata which marked an era in the history of Korean traditional orchestra. This stage is to present a new direction of traditional Korean chorus with the combination of the unique charms of both Korean traditional orchestra and traditional Korea chorus.
The first part of the stage consists of Korean traditional songs, old folksongs, and pansori, and the worldclass vocalist will participate as the soloist. In part two, composer Lee Young-jo's new work requested by the National Orchestra of Korea will be presented. Lee Young-jo is famous for his tasteful works of combining modern harmonies and traditional melodies and rhythms. It will present the exceptionally moving and deeply resonating moments with the dramatic chorus and the music embodying the spirits and soul of Korea.
