Description

A fermata is more than a simple musical indication to prolong a note — it is a moment to deeply gather one's breath and energy in preparation for what comes next. Presented by the National Chorus of Korea's Young Artistic Fellows, 〈Fermata: Where Music Rests〉 extends the sense of ‘taking a pause’ —discovered in works suchas 〈A Rolling Stone〉 and 〈Little Man in a Hurry〉 —into a reflection on life itself. The performance offers a quiet space to set aside the rush of daily life and the weight of endless worries, allowing performers and audience to breathe together within music. Since ‘fermata’ also means ‘station’ in Italian, the concert becomes a symbolic stop along the journey of these young artists, who continue forward on the promising train of life and music. In this shared moment of stillness, the performance offers gentle comfort and renewed strength before everyone moves onward once again.
