Description
A modern reinterpretation of sanjo, a traditional Korean solo instrumental genre, performed in orchestral collaboration. The National Gugak Center’s Contemporary Gugak Orchestra presents “Piri Sanjo by Park Bum-hoon” and “Gayageum Sanjo by Seong Geum-yeon,” reimagined into concertos. Featuring composerperformer Park Bum-hoon and gayageum master Ji Seong-ja (daughter of Seong Geum-yeon), this rare performance breathes new life into Korean traditional music, expanding its depth and resonance for modern audiences.
