The monumental Korean novel 『the Land』 by Park Kyung-ni is reimagined as a multidisciplinary performance blending dance and music. Based on Part 1 of the five-volume epic, the adaptation transfo rms the novel’s dee p sense of han The performance sheds light on the Korean national narrative, historical mem ory, and cultural identity. Directed and choreographed by Jeon Yu-oh, Korean dancer active in both Korea and Vietnam, the work draws on Korean movement aesthetics to explore the bonds betwe en people and land, community and identity.
