Description
A new wave of Cantonese opera arrives in Seoul! Commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2023 and praised by critics, the show makes its Korean debut. Written by award-winning screenwriter Raymond To Kwok–wai and performed by rising stars of Cantonese opera, the piece follows the lives of descendants of the legendary Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove. Set during the Wei and Jin dynasties, it explores Taoist ideals and the aesthetics of seclusion.
