Description
Forest Fire, a major work of playwright Cha Bum-suk, was first staged at the Myeongdong Theatre in 1962 as the 29th regular performance of the National Drama Company of Korea. Set in the Korean War, the play deals with human desire and sadness, history, and various events in human life as in a story of an injured young man who finds himself in a widows' village that is located in the Sobaek Mountains. The reunion of the great playwright Cha Bum-suk, who passed away last year, and Lim Young-woong, a masterly director of realism plays, is raising high expectations for the 2007 revival.
