YOUTH PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL Youth, Painting the sky with dreams and hope The Youth Performing Arts Festival of the National Theater, held every
April until May, is a festival for the youth. With the theme ‘Youth Embracing
the Sky,’ the festival contributes to fostering the positive emotions of
youth through programs allowing the experience of traditional dance music,
musicals, mime, plays and dance of both Korean and international classics.
In 2008 the first festival was held, <The Journey to Folksong with Suksun
Ahn> was performed for the youth and multi-cultural families in culturally
neglected areas. The Youth Performing Arts Festival is the signature event
of the National Theater, giving hopes and dreams to future generations,
who will be the future leaders of society and the performing arts.

YOUTH PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL FEATURES

1. Youth Performing Arts Festival holds in a new place that different types of performances for youth such as
    madangkeuk(play), sinchekeuk(physical play), musicals and circuses and so on can be shown.

2. It encourages young people to express themselves on the stage. Young people will sing songs, dance, and act,
    which they have practiced usually, on different stages including Youth Chorus Festival.

3. It will open more opportunities to not only those who have many chances to see performances usually nut also
    the young people from local areas and neglected families.
