Sound and Movement The NTOK not only introduces Korean art works and those from overseas
that are recognized in terms of artistic values to expand the chance to
enjoy culture for the people but also strengthens its educational role
through special exhibitions.
The charact eristics of performance exhibition are different from exhibiting
historical heritages in museums and sculptures in galleries. Performing arts
naturally disappear after performance so it is also called arts in an instant.
However, the materials produced through the performance and the records
embrace all the single scene of the performing arts that we cannot catch
although we want to. Therefore, the materials of performing arts ruminate
over the values of the works and artists that performed in the past, and
based on this, it provides the foundation of creativity as well as artistic
education. This is the goal that we want to achieve through performing
arts exhibition. As we mark
the centennial anniversary of Korean modern performing arts, the NTOK
meditate upon the value of the arts materials that the theatre owns
through the exhibitions such as the 57 year National Drama Company of
Korea and Sound and Movement- the world of song and dances in the
NTOK, and collect arts materials scattered.

Along with it, the NTOK is carrying out establishing the NTOK Performing
Arts Museum, which is planned to open in the middle of November, 2008,
to make the performing arts material useful by improving the collection
and management.
